Now, Dolby Atmos might have been great to see in this product but unfortunately, it is not provided in that space the soundbar gives us DTS Virtual:X which is a step upgrade from the DTS:X. Also, the soundbar has 3 front-firing speakers and 2 height speakers. These height speakers are termed Acoustic beam by Samsung. The height speakers really do their job pretty well and are capable of producing that rain and snowfall effects.
The Samsung HW-Q67CT offers a balanced sound as default but you can change it with the help of the remote provided with this soundbar. Also, Samsung has provided 3 different presets with this product – surround sound expansion, game pro, and standard. Standard is the mode you will most likely use but also surround sound can be helpful in content that provides 3D sound effects and game pro will help intensify the sound of battle and action while gaming. You can of course connect this soundbar to a console and enjoy the sound.
Connection
The soundbar features a wireless connection which means it is wirelessly connected to the subwoofer and a receiver module. This receiver module is connected via wires to the 2 rear speakers. With these features, you can easily place your soundbar and subwoofer, and rear speakers wherever you want and this is a great way to get rid of the wiring problems that usually come with home theatres.
Now, the Samsung HW-Q67CT also sports Bluetooth support. On the official website, there is nothing mentioned about the Bluetooth version but we suspect it has Bluetooth 5.1 support because there is Bluetooth Multipoint support enabled. There is no WIFI connectivity on the soundbar also. You get 1 HDMI In and 1 HDMI Out which is HDMI ARC. Also, USB and Optical input options are also available.
Extra Features
The Samsung HW-Q67CT soundbar does not come with many extra features but there are quite some. You get a 4K Video passthrough which is not included in many soundbars and home theatres. There is HDR 10+ which is a better version of HDR 10. Samsung has also provided its Acoustic Beam technology that uses AI to automatically deliver sound to the listeners’ ears from where the action happens on the screen. You can easily detect the direction of a car and the power of a rocket.
Samsung’s Q-Symphony feature is an added pro with its Samsung HW-Q67CT.
